Hello Everyone! I hope you are staying safe during this pandemic. During these times, it will be increasingly hard to run a local business. This is where the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce comes in. Their purpose is to lead collaborative activities and promote policies designed to connect, educate and energize the business community. They help strengthen the local community, represent the businesses with the local government, provide networking opportunities and help promote the community.
How do they strengthen the local community?
Since the pandemic has begun, most local businesses have suffered and some have even gone bankrupt. The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce tries to prevent this from happening by leading and participating in programs in order to help local businesses. By strengthening the local community they make our community a great place to do business.
How do they represent the businesses with the local government?
The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce represents the businesses interests in our community with the local government by speaking on local, regional, state, and national issues impacting our community. Their main priority is to keep the city focused on the downtown redevelopment. By speaking about issues affecting businesses and talking about their interests, they help make it easier for businesses to grow in our community.
How do they provide networking opportunities?
In order to provide networking opportunities, the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce hosts a total of 33 events. For some events, they partner with other chambers in order to provide more opportunities for businesses to meet thousands of other people and meet and exchange their information with them. An example of one such event is the Fifth Thursdays Joint Mixers.
How do they help promote the community?
The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce promotes the community by hosting special events. Some events include the annual art and wine festival and our Annual Murphy Awards black tie gala honoring technology, innovation, and the community.
